Creative Poetry Workshop-feedback
After constant request and messages from Budding writer, we Spectrum of Thoughts Publication hosted “3 Days-Creative Poetry Workshop”.
Around 90+ Registrations was noticed throughout the event. This session was mentored by Ms. Mayuri Valanju. 3 Days of the workshop was divided into two session. The writers shared their experience of joining the workshop briefly.
Day 1 of Creative Poetry Workshop was all about rough ideas, MIND MAPPING an interesting concept to write poetry was introduced through flow of ideas. A mind map is a diagram used to visually organize information. A mind map is hierarchical and shows relationships among pieces of the whole.[1] It is often created around a single concept, drawn as an image in the center of a blank page, to which associated representations of ideas such as images, words and parts of words are added. Major ideas are connected directly to the central concept, and other ideas branch out from those major ideas. A Poetry was formed through those mind maps.
Some Examples by our writers:-
1)
Each night I gaze at the moon and know that my hope is intact as long as the moon watched over me. The sky collects my tears and forms stars out of them, galactic beauty in display. As I lay in bed, the rustling of leaves break the silence, calming my anxiety.

2)
Curtain cloth dancing, being full of colours Floding, smoothly, parallelly, next to each others. Singing lullaby high on rods, fling over fling. Connected collectively, by multiple rings. By opening firmly, sunny rays coming underneath. On closing merely, forming shadow beneath.

Day 2 of Creative Poetry Workshop was a lot more creative as writers was introduced to another concept known as ERASURE POETRY & GENIUS HOURS. Erasure is a form of found poetry or found object art created by erasing words from an existing text in prose or verse and framing the result on the page as a poem.[1] The results can be allowed to stand in situ or they can be arranged into lines and/or stanzas.
Writers/artists have adopted this form both to achieve a range of cognitive or symbolic effects and to focus on the social or political meanings of erasure. Erasure is a way to give an existing piece of writing a new set of meanings, questions, or suggestions.
Genius Hour is a concept derived by the mentor herself, 10 words was allotted to the writers and a time limit of 10 mins was clocked to create a poetry. Both these session was amazing and writers loved creating the poems through this new technique.

Time, a stranded boat moved into the shallows a little Long waits and futile worries All crowding the mind and body Warnings of the ongoing dangers Life ,though, awaits for mass vaccinations Stuck in the new normal Spiders web of social media sites The pleasure of packed paintings Giving a sort of relief Mother nature's spiritual lessons To counterbalance the technical stuff Bring on the confusing conflicts! For we have to pull together on this For we have to pull together on this

I am voted to be just lost, In catching the colours of moonlight. But still ,with a little sense I've left, To paint my image right.
Day 3 and the last day of the workshop was an eye opening one, FREE WRITING, another technique of creative and writers block method was used. Along with that OBSERVATION POEM was introduced to the writers by mentor.
Pen, my friend, You give different colors to my subject. You know I love to write. You my friend give me, flow to express my thoughts on the subject I want to write. Often, I thought about how the journey of being friend, to a best friend helped me to define my feelings and realize me to let my emotions get a chance to speak. You gave me the freedom to flow out my feelings and make me smile
This poem is an example of Observation Poem by Abha Bindal.
Sitting alone in a room, I was thinking about what is the real meaning of life. What is the purpose of Life? I was thinking of the race in which everyone is running but everyone cannot win the race. Our Life is like a race in which we have to run and run. But everyone cannot be the winner then why to run? In our Life we have to give examination every moment. Sometimes there is happiness and sometimes there is sadness in our Life. Life is the combination of happiness and sadness. It is a combination of good time and bad time. But what should be the purpose of our Life? This question was hitting me hard. I thought a lot and then came to a conclusion that the purpose of our Life should be to help others. We should help others always. As a human it is our duty help other people. God gives us both happy as well as sad moment but we should always remember the king of this Universe (God) in every situation. It doesn't mean how much critical the situation is, our God is always with us. And everything will be sort out. We should do good things and protect ourselves from the evil.
